Dyes from Kitchen Produce is just a delightful book to browse even if you never get around to making the projects.  This is one of my all time favorite dye books.  It is out of print; but we managed to acquire three copies.  The books are new and the pages are clean and unmarked.  There is a slight crimping in the top corner edge of the cover and the white is beginning to show some age, adding to its charm in my opinion.  The book was first published in Japan 2009 and the English version in Australia 2010.  Setsuko Ishii gives detailed and simple instructions for dyeing leftover fabrics and yarns, and making attractive, handy novelties using teas, spices, and garden herbs - things you might find in your kitchen.  She has created dyeing projects related to each of the four seasons.  Book holds 87 pages with lots of full color photos and lots of line-drawn illustrated step by step instructions.  Size: 8-1/4 X 11-11/16 inches.
