This compact digital scale can be operated using an AC adapter or (2) AAA batteries (sold separately.)  It has a sturdy body and stainless steel removable weighing plate with a beveled edge that makes it easy to clean and maintain. Weighing platform measures 6" x 6."  An auto-off function saves energy by turning off after 5 minutes of disuse when the scale is using battery power.  Scale has a 3-key operation with an on/off, unit, and tare button (tare feature excludes the weight of your dye container.)  Easy to read LCD display with backlight.  Capacity: 20 lb x 0.01 oz / 10kg x 0.5g.
