We gave it this name because every time we ice dyed it, it came out differently! We have three versions of this color. They are similar but different. Mind Bender B has double blue, otherwise the formulas are the same. Mind Bender Extreme has a slightly different formulation with more yellow.

THE PROCESS: We go through hundreds of dye combinations and choose the ones that are strong, vibrant, and/or unique (the ones that stand out to us). We use a 10”x10” cotton swatch and batch the test colors multiple times. We don’t actually know how they will look on your projects (that’s your job). That’s why we named them Dark Horse Dyes - we don’t really know what the final results will be. The one thing we can guarantee is that you will be working with high quality dyes.

3 Great Mind Benders

Mind Bender is a gorgeous color with amazing splits. Mind Bender A & B are very similar, but you can see more of the blue in B. Extreme or X is very different from A & B. Mind Bender X has the addition of yellow which for me resulted in a beautiful green addition. In the video linked below, I show how I made an incline twist with Mind Bender X and then compare how the same design looked using Mind Bender A & B.

Amazing color flow

I saw this on Fun Endeavors' YouTube channel and immediately had to have it. The shirt is cotton knit that was scrunched and gravity dyed (the gravity part is tucked in though) and the skirt is cotton gauze that was scrunched, gravity dyed, and wick dyed at the bottom (all dye over ice). I am amazed at how the dye moved. I can't wait to try the others!
